Key reminders about the assignment
(all of these can be found on the overview/source guideline sheets~ this is just a review)
- The article must be handed in with the assignment~ it receives an automatic "1" if it is not included
- Not all articles are appropriate for the assignment~ the topic must be Social Studies related
- Appropriate topics include: elections, campaigns, wars, space, environment, natural disasters, resources, economy, history...and many more
- Inappropriate topics include: entertainment, sports, car accidents, crimes, medical articles, opinion pieces, "blurbs"- short news pieces that do not have bylines...and some others
- If there are any questions if the article is appropriate or not ASK ME before hand- if an assignment is completed on a topic that is not appropriate the assignment receives an automatic grade of "Not Meeting Expectations"
